Why More Website Traffic Is Not Always the Answer
Before spending more on advertising, check whether the existing website is helping visitors take the next step.

Scope your project
More traffic increases the effect of what is already there
Sending more visitors to a confusing offer rarely solves the problem. It often means paying more people to have the same poor experience.
Before increasing advertising, review where visitors become confused, leave the page or stop before completing an important action.
Look for avoidable obstacles
Small, well-chosen changes can improve results without increasing traffic.
- Keep the landing-page message consistent with the advertisement.
- Remove unnecessary form fields and competing actions.
- Answer common questions before the main call to action.
- Measure enquiries, bookings or sales rather than clicks alone.
