Scope your project
Make the main message easy to understand
A homepage should quickly explain what the business does, who it helps and why someone should continue reading. A clever headline is not useful if visitors have to guess what it means.
- State the main customer benefit clearly.
- Make the primary action easy to find.
- Place evidence close to the claim it supports.
- Arrange sections in the order customers are likely to need them.
Design for people who scan
Many visitors scan headings before reading the detail. Clear headings, readable text and enough space between sections help people find what matters.
Check the mobile version carefully. Important information and actions should remain clear without relying on hover effects.
