Scope your project
Consistency comes from shared rules
A consistent brand does not use the same layout everywhere. It repeats recognisable decisions about colour, typography, tone, spacing and imagery.
These rules make the business familiar while allowing different content to suit different situations.
Decide what should stay consistent
Choose a small number of elements that should not change, then explain where the team has flexibility.
- A clear type hierarchy
- A focused colour palette
- A consistent photography or illustration style
- A recognisable tone of voice
